Dear Parents and Carers, 

We are delighted to announce that Year 4 will be taking part in the Rotary Club’s seasonal concert at the Castle Theatre this year. It is a fantastic opportunity for the children to experience the magic of Theatre and perform as part of a large choir. 

It will take place at the Castle Theatre on Wednesday 18th November where the children, along with those from other local schools, will be performing ‘Bethlehem The Musical’. 

The performance is a celebration of musical collaboration between the different schools, and each school will also sing their own chosen songs as well. The learning all songs will form the focus of our music lessons in school. 

On the day, there will be a dress rehearsal in the morning at the Theatre which the children will be transported to and from using RB coaches, paid for by the Rotary Club. The children will be back at school for afternoon lessons.  Children will then need to be dropped off at the Castle Theatre at 6.15pm for the main performance at 7pm.   Any child taking part will need collecting from the theatre after the performance has finished at approximately 8.30pm. The children will need to wear School Uniform for the performance. 

Tickets will be available from the Castle Theatre website, found here. The ticket price is £15 for an adult and £7.50 for a child.  We would love for as many of our Year 4 pupils as possible to take part, but understand that as it is in the evening, there may be some who are unable to make it. As we will need to confirm numbers with the Rotary and the Castle Theatre, we would be grateful if you could be please complete this form, confirming whether your child is able to take part in this exciting event.  

Monies raised from ticket sales go towards supporting the Rotary Club and the fantastic work that they do with local charities and communities.  

Programme 

A programme will be produced for the performance, listing children’s first names only, and will be available to purchase on the evening.  

Lunch arrangements 

Children will return from the dress rehearsal at approximately 12.45 and will be given time to eat their lunch.  As this is later than usual for hot dinners, please could we request that packed lunches are provided or ordered on this date. Children will need to eat their dinner before arriving for the evening performance at 6.15pm as no food will be available at the venue.  Children will need to bring a water bottle with them.
