Dear Parents and Carers,

As part of our curriculum work on animals, we have organised a trip to Woburn Safari Park to further engage the children with hands-on learning about a variety of animals.

The trip has been thoroughly planned and carefully risk assessed by the trip leader, our Educational Visits Coordinator and by Miss Lally. A copy of the risk assessment is available upon request.

Details

Day and Date: Thursday 30^th March 2023

Timings: Normal school hours. Children must arrive in school ready for a prompt departure at 9:00am. We should be back for normal school finish of 3:30pm but will update you via text message in the event of any delays.

Special clothing required: Children should wear school uniform and will need appropriate waterproofs or sun hats as per the weather forecast.

Permission

Permission is required for this trip. Please use this form to give your permission for your child to attend.

Voluntary Contributions

This trip is to enhance our curriculum and we are relying on parental contributions to enable to trip to take place. We would appreciate you paying a voluntary donation of £21.50 to cover the cost of the entrance fee, coach, workshop and private tour guide for the road safari. The standard entrance fee alone for a child is over £20 and this would not include the workshop nor private tour.

If your child is in receipt of a Pupil Premium Allowance, and you would like to use this to cover the cost of the experience, please fill in this form.

If insufficient voluntary contributions are received, this trip will not go ahead.

Lunch arrangements

Children will need a packed lunch for this trip.

Kingswood packed lunches can be provided for free for all children, but these must be requested online (https://www.kingswoodcatering.co.uk/login) by 11.59pm on Wednesday 22^nd March. Any hot meals ordered in error will be cancelled and replaced with packed lunches.

If children bring their own packed lunch, it should be in a clearly named disposable carrier bag including a disposable drink.

Helpers

We are looking for a number of parents to volunteer to help on this trip. Please express your interest on the permission form by Friday 10^th March to allow us to plan.
