YEAR 3 RESIDENTIAL TRIP TO CAYTHORPE COURT – May 2025

Dear Parent,

We are delighted to inform you that, following the success of our visit in 2024, we have booked the following residential trip for Year 3 to PGL Caythorpe Court, Lincolnshire from Wednesday 7th to Friday 9th May 2025.

Residential trips organised by the school are an optional, but invaluable, part of the National Curriculum. Pupils benefit hugely from the experience, both educationally and socially. We hope that every child joins us, however, alternative activities are provided within school for those children who do not attend.

Every year we strive to achieve the best possible value for money and are pleased to confirm that the total cost of the trip will be £300. This includes coach travel, all activities and full board for the duration, and a cap for the children to wear for the duration of the residential

Please note, the school is required to pay for the trip in three stages and the total cost of the trip is over £17,000. We therefore require parents to pay the amounts stated below, by the deadlines given to ensure the school is able to pay the required invoice at each stage. These amounts are non-refundable to the school once paid and therefore unfortunately payments are non-refundable to parents after each of the payment deadlines. If you wish your child to attend the residential but are unable to meet these payment deadlines, please contact our school business manager, Ruth Alexander, who will be happy to agree individual payment plans if necessary.

The payment deadlines are as follows:

£50 – Friday 12th July 2024

£50 - Friday 27th September 2024

£50 – Friday 25th October 2024

£75 - Friday 29th November 2024

£75 - Friday 7th March 2025

Payments should be made online at https://pmx.parentmail.co.uk/#core/login.

Further information will be given at a meeting for parents later this year. This meeting is for adults only, pupils will be spoken to and will have the opportunity to ask questions in class around the same time. In the meantime, further information can be found on the PGL website: Video guide / Parent Guide – including links to food and accommodation

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to ask.

Yours faithfully,

Mr Stockham and the Year 3 Team.
