Y6 residential information meeting

Dear Parents/Carers

As the Year 6 residential trip to Buddens Activity Centre is fast approaching, we write with further details of our stay; please read the following information carefully and complete the attached form here by Thursday 1st May to allow time for preparations to be made.

Information Evening

We are holding an information evening at 5.15pm on Thursday 8^th May 2025 in the KS1 hall; this will be an opportunity to find out about sleeping arrangements, meals, activities etc and a time for you to ask any questions you may have.

Kit list

Please see the attached suggested kit list. Please do not feel obliged to buy anything new - old clothes are recommended!

Behaviour

Whilst we are away, we will be following the Empowerment Approach, with the same expectations as when the children are at school. Please read the attached Buddens behaviour charter and tick the relevant box on the form below, confirming that you and your child have read and agree to the behaviour expectations.

If any child exhibits unsafe or disrespectful behaviour before the residential, their offer of a place will be withdrawn with no refund available for any money paid already as this money will have already been paid to Buddens.

Please speak to your child about this and ensure they understand, this is to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment during the trip.

Departure and arrival

We would like the children to arrive in school for 7.30am on Monday 2^nd June, ready for an 8am departure. We expect to be back at school for around 4pm on Friday 6^th June (travel updates will be sent on the day).

Seesaw

Your child will shortly be coming home with a QR code invite to join a closed Seesaw group to allow us to share photos with you throughout our trip; please inform us if you do not wish for photos of your child to be shared in this way.
