New Build Progress

We are pleased to share that construction on our new five-classroom extension is nearing completion, with final works taking place over the summer break. The internal spaces will be fully ready for the start of the new academic year, meaning our new Reception children will be the first to enjoy the fantastic new classrooms, alongside some Key Stage 2 classes who will also move into the extension from September.

Early Years Outdoor Area

The new EYFS outdoor area has now been fully designed and is scheduled to be built early in the new academic year, once the main building work has been completed and handed over to us by Lindum. The indoor spaces will be ready first, with the outdoor development to follow shortly after.

We are extremely grateful to the PTA for funding part of this exciting project, and to the local companies who have generously sponsored items for the outdoor space.

We are still seeking additional sponsors for a small number of remaining items. If you or your business would be interested in contributing and having your name displayed on one of the play structures, please speak to the school office.

PTA Discos and Fundraising

A big thank you to our PTA who organised and ran two brilliant school discos this term. The children had a fantastic time, and the events were a great success. We are very appreciative of the PTA’s ongoing commitment and tireless fundraising efforts, which continue to enrich our school community and environment. Just this year, they have funded the purchase of laptops for KS1, new fitted outdoor equipment for the KS2 playground and now the EYFS outdoor area.

Academy Conversion

On 1st July, Earls Barton Primary School officially became part of Hatton Academies Trust. This move marks an exciting new chapter for our school and follows a great deal of preparation and planning behind the scenes.

Joining the Trust allows us to work more closely with other local schools, share expertise and resources, and access additional support in areas like staff development, curriculum planning and school improvement. Importantly, our school’s identity, values and leadership remain the same, and day-to-day life for children and families continues as normal.

We are confident that being part of Hatton Academies Trust will bring long-term benefits for our pupils, staff and wider school community, and we look forward to what this new partnership will help us achieve.

Parking

We regularly remind our parents and carers on the need to park safely, legally and respectfully around the school as well as reminding children of the need to ride bikes and scooters safely through the village on the way to school. We would like to thank the village residents for their patience this year with the inconvenience of the build and the school’s reduced car park capacity – we look forward to this being resolved in September!

Wishing all Earls Barton a lovely summer.
